Click on the Moji IM icon to begin.
|

Moji Login window will appear (figure 1.1a). To login, key in your username and
password. If you do not have any account, go to MojiKan registration page to sign up for one for free.
At the bottom of the window, you can see the options of:
a. "Store Name", check to remember your username the next time you launch Moji IM
b. "Store Pass", check to remember your password the next time you launch Moji IM
c. "Auto Login", check if you wish to be automatically logged in the next time you
start Moji IM
On Login, you will notice the loading process ("Moji in the Wheel" animation) (figure
1.1b).

Updates popup window will appear if there are new updates (figure 1.2). You can
accept the request by clicking "YES" or continue to IM by clicking "NO".

Once logged in, the Moji IM messenger window will appear. In this window, there
are 2 separate sections:
- 3D Environment, and
- IM Interface
By default, the view for Moji IM is as shown in figure 2.1b.

Clicking "3D Moji IM" image in the 3D environment will activate your MojiKan Pet
3D environment (figure 2.1a).
|

At the bottom left corner of the 3D environment window, you can set your online
status to Online, Offline, Busy, Invisible or Away.

Should your status be set to Away or Busy, your MojiKan pet will automatically reply
on your behalf when there are other users sending message to you.

On the left-hand side of the 3D Environment section, there 5 menu buttons aside
from User online status:

In Contact List, your friends will be displayed with their online status icons (as
shown in figure 3.2a). Rollover your mouse on top and the contact will enlarge to
full details (as shown in figure 3.2b).

The "FILTER" button on top of the pane allows you to filter the contacts to your
selected IM category. The "SORT" button lets you to sort your contacts according
to; Name, Online Status, IM Type, First Name, Last Name, Email and Country.

By right-clicking on the contact, a menu will pop up:
a. start chat, to initiate a chatting session with the contact, user can also double-click
on the contact to do so,
b. invite to multi-moji, to initiate an interaction between your MojiKan pet to
selected contact's MojiKan pet in 3D environment,
c. view profile, to view the user's profile via User Profile pane (figure 3.3)
d. block contact, to block the other contact from communicating with you, and
e. remove contact, to totally delete the contact from your list.

These buttons in the contact's User Profile pane has the same feature as explain

In Settings, you can set Moji IM interface preferences. Here, users can change:
a. Resolution, settings for display quality of the 3D MojiKan pet environment,
b. Texture Detail, settings for Moji IM skins, and
c. Shadows, drop shadows setting for the Moji IM windows.

Each settings saved will require users to restart the Moji IM.

One of the Moji IM features is the capability of interoperability with other messengers.
In Messengers, user can log in to their other messengers account to chat (figure
5.1).
Messengers supported are: MSN, Yahoo, AOL and GTalk (Jabber).

User Profile is where you can set your brief details such as name, surname and location
(figure 6.1). You can also type in your message to be shown to anyone who happens
to view your contacts.

The photo captured of your MojiKan pet is shown next to your name and surname. By
clicking on it will lead you to Photo Gallery menu.

|

At the bottom of the pane, there are 3 buttons, namely;
a. Website, click to go to your user account page online,
b. Save, to store your profiles entered, and
c. Reset, to clear all the fields in the pane.

Photo Gallery is where all the captured snapshots of your MojiKan pet is displayed
in thumbnails (figure 7.1). You can also upload existing images from your local
drive. By right-clicking on the thumbnails, a menu will appear with the following
options:
a. Upload to MojiKan account, upload the photo into your online MojiKan pet album
b. Set as profile picture, set the photo as your profile picture, and
c. Delete Picture, self-explanatory.

Each time you click to open the 3D environment window, a loading splash screen will
appear (figure 8.1).

In the Moji 3D environment, Moji's day lasts for half an hour. There will be day
and night and changes in the weather as well.

On the left-hand side of the 3D environment (figure 8.2), there are 5 buttons:
a. Minimize, to minimize the whole IM window,
b. User Search, on click, a search window will appear and you can search based on
User, Email, Name or Surname,
c. Shopping, on click, it will lead to MojiKan website to buy items for you MojiKan
pet,
d. Log out, click to log out from IM, and
e. Deactivate 3D, to close the 3D environment window.

There is feature for you to zoom into or out from your MojiKan pet. To do so, go
to "Photo Gallery" pane (figure 8.3).
|
|

The process is simple:
- Click on the "ZOOM" button and it will be highlighted.
- Next, go to the 3D environment screen. Right-click the mouse and drag down to zoom
in while to zoom out, right-click the mouse and drag up.
- To capture a shot of your MojiKan pet, click the "PHOTO" button next to "ZOOM".
- The screen will be automatically be added to the Photo Gallery list.

At the bottom center of the 3D environment screen, there is a small blue button
to start User Interactive mode with your MojiKan pet (figure 9.1). Roll your mouse
over it will expand the button (figure 9.2).

Click on this button will enter User Interactive (UI) mode. Your MojiKan pet will
now wait for your commands. There will be options for you to choose to interact
with your MojiKan pet (figure 9.3).

Make your choice and you can further pick items that you have bought for your MojiKan
pet by clicking on the thumbnails to interact with it (figure 9.4). Options available
are:
a. Touch, pat and hit
b. Play game, default is play ball
c. Dress up, fashion your MojiKan pet with style!
d. Multi-Moji, create a Moji to Moji session
e. Accessories, ask your MojiKan pet to do a task

Move your cursor to the bottom left of 3D environment screen, your pet's Sparx Meter
will appear. This is where you can check for your MojiKan pet’s food supply (figure
9.5).
When the Sparx (SPX) level is too low, it signifies your Moji is hungry or getting
weak. You will need to purchase more SPX online to feed it or it will die.
Move your cursor to the bottom right and you can see your pet's Health Statistics.
This is where you can know the physical and mental health statistics of your pet
(figure 9.5).

Chat window is where you will communicate with your contacts. By default, it will
appear with the Participant pane on the right.

There are option buttons above the Message box. These buttons are:

a. Emoticons

d. Invite contacts to Multi-Moji session

b. Font settings

|
e. Leave conversation
|
|
c. Add contact to conversation

f. Close Participant pane

A Multi-Moji session is to invite your contact's MojiKan pet into the 3D environment.
Both party will be able to see their pet interacting with each other real-time.
