The portal is a space or room given to user in Mojikan online virtual world. This
is the space which you can customize to your taste and let other users to view it.
Let them know what you are made of! The Portal view is in 3 dimensions and you can
rotate the view 360° around you. You can also zoom in or out from the view.
A portal can hold 6 different categories of elements in its window. These are the
elements which you can customize. The elements are as follow, in order of how they
are layered from background to foreground:
- Background/sky
The background is where the sky is normally located in the windows. Choosing the
background can also mean choosing the time of your portal (day or night) or the
weather (rainy or sunny).
- Ground
The ground will be the elements at the bottom of the windows where most of the stickers
are.
- Scenery
The scenery is the element laying at the horizon between the sky and the ground.
It will be the elements that you can set for your window environment.
- Sticker
Stickers are all the small portable characters in the portal. They, on selected,
can be moved around, flipped, scaled, and rotated.
- Foregrounds
Foregrounds are the element that is located at the front of the window behind the
border. The element helps you decorate the areas near the stickers
- Border
The border is not part of the portal environment but you can use it to decorate
your portal window.

visit other user's profile, you will be able to see their portal.
To view and configure your own portal, you will need to get into your own private
profile page (make sure you have a
Mojikan account
yourself!) and go to the menu link "My Portal". Your portal will be there.

All the elements are handled the same way except for the stickers. These elements
are shown at the bottom section of the portal, the RED RIBBON. It only shows 1 row
at a time and each rows is for 1 category. You will need to click "Move Up" or "Move
Down" button to scroll through them.
It is VERY EASY to put the elements into the portal window. Simply click and drag
the elements you want from the red ribbon onto the portal. On mouse release, all
the elements will snap into place, whereas stickers will appear on the spot where
you release your mouse.
The stickers, unlike others, on selected, can be moved around, flipped, scaled,
and rotated. The layers of the stickers can be manipulated to go on top or back.
Select the character, and then click "Layer Up" or "Layer Down" button to change
its layer. The effect of the changes can only be seen if the characters are overlapping
each others. To have the stickers unselected, click on "Deselect" button.
To delete the characters, select it and then click on the "Trash" button on the
top right section of the portal. To free any stickers from being selected, click
on "Deselect" button.
Other categories, aside from sticker, once put in cannot be deleted; however, they
can still be replaced if other elements of the same category are dragged onto them.
